Approximately an hour's drive from the apartment, Benidorm's reputation for exhuberent nightlife and activities aplenty does not disappoint.
For the day time, along with the many sites to behold and the city centre to explore, there are also two theme parks, Terra Mitica and Aqualandia, as well as Mundomar, the popular animal park for a perfect family day out.
Terra Mitica, a theme park opened in 2000, is a hot spot for tourists and locals to enjoy an adrenaline fuelled day out. The park, which is split into two sections, Iberia Park, a pay-per-ride system and Terra Mitica, a pay-to-enter. Along with high-speed rollercoasters, there are also a number of attractions such as a maze, a paintball arena and water rides such as the log flume.
If water rides are more your thing, Aqualandia is a must visit. There are more than 20 areas rides there is something for everyones tastes. If high speed and altitude is something you fancy, rides like 'Vertigo' and 'Black Hole' are a definite must, but, if you fancy a relaxing day, the natural areas with pools and waterfalls will make you feel zen.

The Benidorm nightlife is an experience that should definitely be had once. Between the raucous stag and hen parties that litter the strip, the number of venues offering live shows and music for free is extensive. There is something for everyone from live music, comedy and the infamous out of hours 'adult' shows. Along with the excellent atmosphere and drinks offers available, a night in Benidorm is recommended, albeit only one!
MUST TRY: the best restaurant discovered so far has to be Paneil's. The majority of eateries in Benidorm are cafe style or fast food establishments, however Paneil's offers 5* food in a quaint restaurant setting.
